Slow Cooker Steak And Potatoes With Beer

ingredients
1 large onion, sliced
8 medium potatoes, quartered
2 1/2 pounds round steak, cut in serving-size pieces
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 envelope beefy onion soup mix
1 can (12 ounce size) beer
1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
directions
Add the onion and potatoes to the bottom of the crock pot. Place the steak on top.
In a bowl, combine the brown sugar, nutmeg, pepper, and soup mix until well mixed. Sprinkle over the steak.
Slowly pour the beer over the top of the steak.
Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until the steak is tender and the vegetables are soft.
Stir gently before serving.

Delicious! Just the right mixture of seasonings on it to with the brown sugar, nutmeg and soup mix. I used just a domestic beer but I think something more flavorful would also be better.

I used regular onion soup mix because that's what I had and this turned out really good
