Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

- #14644

ingredients
2 pounds round steaks
1 packet Lipton Beefy Onion Soup Mix
2 tablespoons oil
2 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
8 ounces tomato sauce
1 cup water
directions
Trim fat from steak. In large frying pan, brown meat in hot oil. Add remaining ingredients; stir to combine.
Simmer, covered, 1 to 1 3/4 hours or until meat is very tender.
This makes a delicious tangy gravy. It is great served over rice.

A little on the salty side, but good flavor overall. I served this with roasted potatoes, good combo. I would make this again.
