If you're making refreshing lemonade anyway, why not just go full tropical with pineapple? Whether you're just kicking back and relaxing with a glass or looking to give your kids' lemonade stand sales a boost, this drink is the right choice.
1 pint water
1 cup sugar
1 can (8 ounce size) crushed pineapple
6 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 quart ice water
Combine the water and sugar in a heavy saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil and let cook at a boil for 10 minutes or until syrupy.
Stir in the pineapple and lemon juice and let cool.
Strain the mixture through a cheesecloth lined sieve into a pitcher. Add the ice water and serve.
