- #64341
under 30 minutes
ingredients
4 bone-in pork chops
2 teaspoons Creole seasoning
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons oil
2 medium onions, sliced
1/2 cup water
directions
Sprinkle pork chops evenly with Creole seasoning. Dredge in flour, shaking off excess. Cook chops in hot oil in a heavy skillet over medium heat, 1-2 minutes on each side or until brown. Remove from skillet and keep warm.
Add onion and water to skillet, stirring to loosen particles from bottom of skillet, and saute 10 minutes or golden brown.
Return chops to skillet, reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 5 minutes.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
