Crispy pork chops don't always have to be fried. Chops dredged in flour, egg, and a crushed corn flake mix get a quick trip to the oven for a way healthier, just as delicious meal.

ingredients
1 box (12 ounce size) cornflakes, crushed 2 tablespoons garlic powder 1 tablespoon kosher salt 2 tablespoons black pepper 1 tablespoon rubbed sage 4 eggs, slightly beaten 1 cup flour 6 pork loin chops, 1/2 to 3/4 inches thick
directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a rimmed baking sheet.
Combine the cornflake crumbs, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and sage in a shallow dish.
Pour the beaten eggs into another shallow dish. Add the flour to a third shallow dish.
One at a time, take the pork chops and dip them into the flour. Shake off any excess. Dip them then into the egg, letting excess drip off. Lastly, dip them into the cornflake mixture to coat on both sides, pressing the mixture on so it adheres. Set the chops on the greased baking sheet.
Place the chops in the oven and bake at 350 degrees F for 25-30 minutes or until they register 160 degrees F on a meat thermometer.
I haven't tried this yet, but the corn flake box size sounds like those individual serving size boxes. I have used the same method but I use Italian Bread Crumbs and brown them in a little oil and then place them on a broiler pan and bake them for about 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees. The oil they were fried in drains off. If thicker, I would bake them longer.
The cereal is the small full size, not the individual size package

I wish it had said what size cereal box to buy but I just got the smallest one because I couldn't imagine it would need more than that for 6 chops. I honestly didn't have high expectations for this recipe even though it had good reviews. It just didn't sound like much to me. After the first bites my family was oohing and aahing over the chops. They were really moist and the coating was really good and crunchy.

We LOVED this recipe! My wife couldn't believe that the coating was made from corn flakes. Kids loved it too and they are in their picky phases and hard to please.

This dish was really easy. You wouldn't beleive how moist the pork chops were with the corn flake mixture. Really delicious.
Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
