Everybody has their opinions on the best burger toppings, but what's inside the patties can be just as important. Jalapenos and green onions mixed into these turkey burgers gives a pop of flavor in every bite. A creamy topping for a "jalapeno popper" effect is a great choice to seal the deal.
1 pound ground turkey
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons diced jalapeno peppers or chopped green chiles
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
Grease the grill rack and heat the grill for medium, direct heat.
In a bowl, combine the ground turkey, green onions, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, jalapenos, salt, and pepper. Mix the ingredients and form into patties. Do not overmix the turkey or it will not hold together.
When the grill is hot, place the burgers on the grill and cook, turning once or twice, for 6 minutes or until the meat is no longer pink.
Remove from the grill and serve on buns with your favorite condiments.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
