This iconic whiskey is a "Jack of all trades" when it comes to cooking. Toss it in some pasta, as a savory dipping sauce, and even bake it into something sweet.

Curry flavored burgers are a unique twist on the classic American burger. The curry flavor is perfect for those who love a little bit of spice in their food.
2 pounds ground beef
1 onion, finely diced
3 tablespoons minced garlic
2 tablespoons curry powder
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
salt and black pepper, to taste
1 can (12 ounce size) beer
Preheat the grill to high heat.
Combine the ground beef, onion, garlic, curry powder, Worcestershire, cayenne, Italian seasoning, dry mustard, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix well. Form into 1/2-pound patties.
Place the burgers on the grill and cook, basting with the beer occasionally, until desired doneness.
Serve on buns with your choice of toppings.
Mix the burger ingredients gently to avoid compacting the meat, resulting in tough burgers.
Let the grilled burgers rest for a few minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute and keep them juicy.
Try different curry blends or add fresh herbs like cilantro or mint to change the flavor of the burgers.
Adjust the spice level by increasing or decreasing the amount of cayenne pepper in the recipe to suit your taste preferences.
Toast the buns on the grill for added flavor and texture before assembling the burgers.
Yes, ground turkey or chicken can be substituted for ground beef to make a lighter version of the curry burgers.
You can use a mixture of beef or vegetable broth with a splash of vinegar or lemon juice as a non-alcoholic alternative for basting.
Consider adding a tablespoon of honey or brown sugar to the burger mixture to balance the heat from the curry and cayenne.
You can prepare the burger mixture (and form the patties) ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator (covered in an airtight container) for up to 24 hours before grilling.
Toppings such as mango chutney, sliced avocado, red onion, lettuce, and a yogurt-based sauce complement the spicy flavors of curry burgers.
If desired, you can start by searing the burgers over direct heat to get grill marks, then move them to indirect heat to finish cooking. Otherwise, cook over direct heat for better texture, or over indirect heat for a more tender burger.
You can freeze the uncooked burger patties by placing them on a baking sheet in a single layer until firm, then transferring them to a freezer bag for up to 3 months.
If the burger mixture seems dry, you can add a splash of Worcestershire sauce, olive oil, or a beaten egg to moisten it before forming the patties.
Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the burgers. Ground beef should reach 160 degrees for safe consumption.

Cilantro Lime Coleslaw: The fresh and zesty flavors of cilantro and lime in the coleslaw will add a refreshing element to balance out the rich and bold flavors of the curry burgers.
Sweet Potato Fries: The sweetness of the fries will contrast nicely with the spiciness of the curry in the burgers.
Mint Raita: The cool and creamy mint raita will help cool down the heat from the cayenne pepper in the curry burgers.
Wine Pairings
Malbec: The bold flavors of a Malbec can stand up to the curry spices in these burgers. Look for one with hints of black pepper and dark fruit to complement the meal.
Viognier: A Viognier's floral and fruity notes can bring a touch of sweetness to balance out the spice in the curry. Its crisp acidity will also refresh your palate between bites.
Sauvignon Blanc: If you prefer white wine, a Sauvignon Blanc with its zesty citrus flavors can cut through the richness of the beef while enhancing the curry seasoning. Look for one with a hint of herbaceousness for added complexity.
Other Alcohol Pairings
IPA: The hoppy bitterness and citrus notes in an IPA can match the bold flavors in the curry. Look for one with tropical fruit flavors to enhance the overall experience.
Dark and Stormy: A Dark and Stormy cocktail made with dark rum and ginger beer can complement the curry spices while providing a refreshing kick of ginger.
Non-Alcoholic Pairings
Sweet Iced Tea: The sweetness of a cold glass of sweet iced tea can help balance out the heat from the curry powder.
Ginger Beer: If cocktails aren't your thing, a nice and spicy ginger beer on its own can add an extra layer of heat to the curry burger.
Mango Lassi: For a creamy, fruity alternative, try a mango lassi. The cool, creamy yogurt mixed with sweet mango can soothe any lingering heat from the cayenne and provide a nice contrast to the bold flavors of the curry.

These are great, my whole family enjoyed them even the 6 year old. One piece of advise ... forgo the regular condiments and top with a nice chutney, we like them with mango chutney.
