What's better than a burger? A bacon and cheese stuffed burger, of course! This recipe is for all the bacon and cheese lovers out there. So fire up the grill and get ready to be impressed.

serves/makes:

ready in:
  under 30 minutes

ingredients

3 tablespoons dark brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon chipotle chili powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1 pound ground beef
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/2 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
4 hamburger buns

directions

Preheat the grill to medium heat.

Combine the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl and set aside.

Form the beef into equal-sized patties (you'll need two patties per burger). Combine the bacon and cheese in a bowl.

Place half of the beef patties on a work surface. Divide the bacon mixture between the patties. Top each patty with another burger and press the edges together to seal the cheese and bacon inside.

Generously season both sides of the filled burgers with the spice mixture and pat the seasonings on so they adhere.

Place the burgers on the grill and cook for about 5 minutes per side or until they are the desired doneness.

Serve the burgers on buns with any desired toppings.
