Easy Slow Cooker Italian Vegetable-Beef Soup

ingredients
3/4 pound lean ground beef
3 carrots, sliced
4 potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 small onion, diced
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 can (15 ounce size) diced Italian tomatoes
1 can (6 ounce size) Italian flavored tomato paste
4 1/2 cups water
1 quart 99% fat free, lower sodium beef broth
directions
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook, stirring, until no longer pink. Drain off excess grease.
Combine the browned beef with the remaining ingredients in the crock pot; mix well.
Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the vegetables are tender. Adjust seasoning as needed before serving.
