Beef Burgers In Blue Cheese Sauce

ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 egg
1 onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, crushed
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon dried mixed herbs
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons butter
Sauce
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup flour
2 1/2 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup blue cheese, crumbled
directions
Put the beef, egg, onion, garlic, salt, parsley, herbs, mustard and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl. Mix well. Form into burger patties.
Melt the butter in a skillet and fry the burgers for 3 to 4 minutes on each side. Keep warm.
To make the sauce, melt the butter in a saucepan and add the flour. Cook for 1 minute, stirring continuously, then gradually add the milk.
Bring to a boil and add salt. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, then remove from heat and stir in cheese.
Arrange burgers in an ovenproof dish and pour over the sauce. Bake at 425 degrees F for 20 minutes.
