ingredients
1/2 cup garlic powder
1/2 cup onion powder
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup dried oregano
1/2 cup black pepper
1 teaspoon dried thyme
4 teaspoons dried basil
1/2 cup dried parsley
2 teaspoons dry mustard
2 teaspoons celery seed
1/2 cup paprika
1 teaspoon dill weed
1/4 cup salt
2 1/2 tablespoons chicken soup powder
directions
Combine all ingredients. Store in airtight container. To make a salt-free mix, omit the last 2 ingredients.
To make dressing: Combine 2 tablespoons mix with 1/4 cup vinegar, 2/3 cup oil, 2 tablespoons water. Shake vigorously. Makes one cup dressing.

I found this recipe because I had another recipe that called for one packet of dry Italian dressing mix and I didn't have any on hand. This was a wonderful substitute. I used what I needed for the recipe and made the rest into dressing as directed.
