Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

- #91977
ingredients
4 tablespoons paprika
2 tablespoons salt
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons cumin
2 tablespoons chili powder
2 tablespoons black pepper
1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
directions
Mix all ingredients together. Rub on pork butt before roasting.
This is also good on pork chops, tenderloin, etc. I double the recipe and store it in a glass jar with a tight-fitting lid.

Very good flavor. I also use it on ribs.
