Fun Food Holidays™ April 19th is National Amaretto Day

Made from a base of almonds or apricot pits, Amaretto is a widely sold liqueur whose name means "a little bitter." But these days the bitterness is toned down with sweeteners and other ingredients that make this liqueur palatable by itself or in a number of cocktails and even food recipes.
