30-60 minutes
ingredients
1 1/2 pound ground beef or turkey or combination
1 egg
1 envelope dry French onion soup mix, crushed
1 package stuffing mix prepared according to the package directions
1 can condensed low sodium mushroom soup
1 cup water
1 can (4 ounce size) sliced mushrooms, drained
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 cup shredded cheese, optional
directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Add the egg and half of the dry French onion soup mix to the ground beef. Mix well without over mixing.
Divide the burger into individual patties. Divide the stuffing evenly into individual serving portions and put one portion of stuffing into the center of each of the burger patties. Shape the burger patty around the dressing, sealing it well. Place each meatloaf bundle into a baking dish.
In a medium bowl, add the water, remaining half of dry French onion soup powder, canned mushrooms, water and chopped parsley. Pour the mixture over the meatloaf bundles. Cover and place into the oven. Cook for 25-30 minutes or until meat juices run clear.
Sprinkle with cheese and return to oven uncovered until the cheese is browned and bubbly. Serve!
