2 tablespoons mustard seed
2 tablespoons dill seed
2 tablespoons hot red pepper flakes
2 bay leaves, crumbled
1/2 teaspoon whole cloves
1/2 teaspoon whole allspice
1/2 teaspoon black peppercorns
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
directions
SHRIMP SPICE (CRAB BOIL): Combine all ingredients; add to water when boiling seafood.
SEAFOOD SEASONING: Replace whole spices with ground where possible; combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor and whirl into a powder; mix in 1/2 c salt. Sprinkle over seafood and sauces.
