Chicken wings are a classic favorite, and when crispy-baked wings are paired with a sweet-spicy suicide sauce, they make for an unforgettable dish.

8 pounds chicken wings
2 cups ketchup
2/3 cup water
2 cups brown sugar
3/4 cup hot sauce
6 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon chili powder
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
Trim the tips from the wings and separate the wings into drummies and flappers. Place the wings on a broiler pan.
Place the pan in the oven and bake the wings at 425 degrees F for 45 minutes or until crispy, turning once during the cooking time.
Meanwhile, combine the ketchup, water, brown sugar, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and chili powder in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring frequently, until the brown sugar dissolves.
When the wings are crispy, transfer them to a baking dish or crock pot. Pour the sauce over the wings.
If baking in the oven, reduce the oven temperature to 350 degrees F and bake the wings for 1 hour. If cooking in the crock pot, cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 2-4 hours.
Serve the suicide wings with ranch or blue cheese dressing, for dipping.

Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.
