- #92709
ingredients
1 package ranch salad dressing mix
1 cup mayonnaise-type salad dressing
1 cup fat-free half n' half
2 teaspoons Cajun spice (see below)
CAJUN SPICE SEASONING MIX
3/4 cup salt
1/4 cup ground red pepper
2 tablespoons ground white pepper
2 tablespoons ground black pepper
2 tablespoons paprika
2 tablespoons onion powder
2 tablespoons garlic powder
directions
Mix well and store in refrigerator.
If you don't want to make your own ranch, just add the 2 tsp. of Cajun spice to a jar of lite ranch dressing.
For Spice Mix: Layer ingredients in one pint jar with lid. Stir before using until all ingredients are well mixed.
Toss with potatoes before roasting, or rub or sprinkle on fish, pork or chicken. You can also put this on popcorn.
This is also good on salads, dipping fresh veggies and as a marinade for meat.

This iconic whiskey is a "Jack of all trades" when it comes to cooking. Toss it in some pasta, as a savory dipping sauce, and even bake it into something sweet.
Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

Instead of making up all the seasoning mix I just used purchased cajun spice since you only need two teaspoons for this recipe and I didn't know if I really wanted 1 1/2 cups of seasoning sitting around. I doubt it changed the outcome of the dressing which was very good btw. I served it on a taco salad type recipe.
