Ciabatta Double Salmon Sandwiches

ingredients
2 ciabatta breads, about 8" long each
1 red onion
2/3 cup cream cheese
2 ounces arugula
1/3 pound smoked salmon in thin slices
1 teaspoon wasabi (Japanese green horseradish)
OR
1 tablespoon ordinary grated horseradish
directions
Cut and discard the ends off the ciabattas. Split the remaining breads lengthwise. Cut the onion in thin rings.
Spread a generous amount of cream cheese on each bread half, then put on arugula, sliced salmon with some wasabi or horseradish and onion rings.
Put the top halves on and cut the breads in approximately 2" long pieces.
