Fried Oysters Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup Milk
24 Oysters, freshly shucked
Salt
Pepper
Cornmeal
Cracker crumbs
Vegetable shortening
Directions:
Pour milk over oysters; soak 10 minutes. Roll oysters in seasoned cornmeal or cracker crumbs.
Heat shortening; fry oysters quickly in very hot shortening until brown.
Drain well on paper towels before serving.
