Wanted something simple and this completely fit the bill. It turned out way better than I expected. It was very creamy and flavorful. Will make again for sure.

This recipe is fantastic! We're not huge fans of Alfredo type creamy sauces but this one is the exception. I didn't add the chives. It makes a huge amount of gravy so next time I'll add more chicken breast. Would be great on pasta, rice, or even mashed potatoes. Not sure where the "golden" in the name comes from though -- it was rather pale.

Made this tonight for dinner, went exactly by the recipe as far as ingredients. I cooked my chicken some before putting in the crockpot though. And before adding the soup mixture i used forks to shred the chicken. It was a big hit at my house, will def make it again!

I used boneless skinless chicken breasts and the cook time was way less than 5 hours. My chicken was too dry and it only cooked for 3 hours. The taste, however, was great! I didn't have dry italian dressing, so I used half a bottle. And wish I would have had mushrooms to put in it. I think that would have made it even better. So easy to make, I will certainly try it again!

This is a GREAT recipe! I add a couple sliced carrots and mushrooms, and serve it over pasta or rice. I also slice the chicken into 2 inch wide strips (and use 3 lbs), then you only have to cook it for 4 hours on Low. So easy and very tasty!!

Yum! Added 16 oz sliced mushrooms to chicken/butter at beginning. We loved this!!! Works with reduced fat ingredients!

I made this recipe for Valentine's Day. I substitued Cream of Mushroom soup for the Cream of Chicken and sliced mushrooms because I had it on hand. I served it over rice and is was delicious! My family and I really enjoyed it and I passed the recipe on!

I fixed this and got good reviews from my wife, my daughter, and my grandson. Easy to prepare. Too much for four people, but still taste good as left overs.

It was quite tasty. I had all of the ingredients on hand and it was quite easy to make. I added fresh mushrooms and used boneless thighs instead of breasts. I will make this dish again.

My Husband loves this! I always fix chicken in the crock pot and it's kinda boring, but this is really good! Everyone should give this a try.

This was excellent, but on the off chance that someone has a really "hot" crockpot, I really don't think the chicken needs to cook for three hours. It may dry out in that time if it's not sitting in the marinade properly. Use your judgement, but it will cook in less time than that.

This is as good as a leftover as it is the first day. I cut the chicken into bite-size pieces after it's cooked and serve it over noodles. Delicious

I have made this dish several times. It tends to be on the salty side. If you use lite cream cheese and low-sodium soup, you can improve the taste. My teenage son loves to make and eat this one!
