Easy Slow Cooker Smothered Chicken

A delicious gravy is the result when chicken is cooked with cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, and a can of French onion soup.

ingredients

4 boneless chicken breast halves
1 can (10.75 ounce size) cream of mushroom soup
1 can (10.75 ounce size) cream of chicken soup
1 can (10.75 ounce size) French onion soup

directions

Place the chicken in the bottom of the crock pot.

In a bowl, mix together the three soups. Pour over the chicken.

Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 5 hours or until the chicken is cooked through. Serve the chicken with the sauce over rice or pasta.

    made this the other night and put it over egg noodles and it was a big hit with the guys. Ill try it tonight with the family and hope it goes just as well...

    Used boneless chicken thighs and served this over egg noodles. I sauteed the mushrooms before adding them only because I prefer that texture more. Had lots of good flavor and wasn't too salty even with the canned soups. Definitely didn't need extra salt but I was concerned it might be too much sodium. I didn't add the poultry seasoning and I don't know that it really would have needed it.

    I just had surgery and am not supposed to be standing for long periods of time. Husband looked up this recipe and threw it together so we could have some dinner (he doesn't cook). I told him he needs to cook more often because this was really good! So easy too. He made instant rice to go with it.
