The 7-Up helps tenderize the chicken and the butter adds a little richness to this very simple, yet yummy, dish.

6 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 can 7-Up
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1 teaspoon dried parsley
Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crock pot.
In a 2-cup measuring cup, mix the melted butter, 7-up, seasoned salt, and parsley. Pour over the chicken.
Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 5-6 hours or until the chicken is tender and cooked through.

Not to be confused with evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk is very sweet (and very sticky) and used primarily in desserts.

I use this recipe a lot when I need to cook up a batch of chicken for other recipes, salads, etc. Just put it all in the crock and it turns out very tender, never dry. The balance of the sweet 7up and seasoned salt works great.
Will this work with ginger ale?
You should get similar results with ginger ale

I needed cooked chicken for another recipe so I cubed the chicken and put it in the crock in the morning on low. It was very tender and worked great when I got home and assembled the recipe. I omitted the parsley but left the seasoned salt in.

The chicken turns out really moist and tasty. There is a lot of liquid left in the crock, seems like a waste but I guess the chicken is what you want out of it. I sliced it and served on pasta with alfredo sauce.

very easy and taste good, kids love it with noodles or rice
An uncomplicated meal for when you've got extra chicken lying around and no ideas. It couldn't be easier to throw together. After six hours of cooking the chicken was tender and ready to eat. The 7-Up juice has a sort of sweet and savory flavor to it. It's light and doesn't overpower the chicken breasts. A few sprinkles of salt really livens it up. Goes well as a main dish with rice and vegetables.
