ingredients
2 cups cornmeal
3 pounds catfish, cut in fillets or pieces
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1 tablespoon salt
3 eggs
1 cup vegetable oil
directions
Mix all dry ingredients in large bowl and set aside.
Heat oil in skillet to 350 degrees F.
Scramble eggs in bowl. Dip fish into egg then into cornmeal mix.
Put fish into hot oil.
Turn when it is golden brown.
