ingredients
8 slices steak
2 large onions, chopped
8 slices bacon
8 slices kosher dill pickle
salt and pepper, to taste
water
1 cup pickle juice
directions
Place bacon lengthwise onto 1 steak strip at a time and generously spread onions over bacon. Place 1 slice pickle on each. Roll and secure with toothpicks.
Brown in a skillet on all sides. Add water and pickle juice. Simmer for about 6 hours. Thicken the sauce a bit with cornstarch slurry, if desired.
Serve with mashed potatoes and pick your own vegetable.
