  1. kandi REVIEW:

I loved it, my family loved it. Tender and tasty. I made this recipe with two additions. I added more peppers and approximately 3 cups of beef broth because there just wasn't enough juice. The picture was very deceiving. Still the best pepper steak I've ever eaten. Thank you, simply delicious!

    • You really shouldn't need that much liquid if your crock pot lid fits properly. The liquid that is added will create steam. Also, this isn't a stew so you don't want the meat swimming in liquid.

Thank you for this recipe. We very much enjoyed it. The round steak was very tender.

This is a great recipe. However, I combined everything (except for the water and cornstarch) and cooked it all on low for about 4 hours. Then added the cornstarch/water and cooked for another 1/2hour.
