Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.
Old Bay Hot Crab Dip

ingredients
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
1 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1 pound fresh lump crab meat, picked over
OR
2 cans (6 ounce size) crabmeat
directions
Combine mayonnaise, half the cheese, Old Bay, Worcestershire sauce and ground mustard; fold in crab meat. Spoon mixture into 1-quart casserole and top with remaining cheese. Sprinkle with a dash of Old Bay.
Bake in 350 degrees F oven 12-15 minutes or until mixture begins to bubble around edges. Serve with assorted crackers and/or pita chips.
