I had to vary this just a little because I wanted to use ham steaks that I had in the freezer. I layered them with the other ingredients in the crock pot. It turned out fantastic! I can't wait to make this again with a regular ham.

I was afraid this would turn out too sweet but I think the pineapple diluted the sweetness a bit. I removed the ham from the crock pot and then thickened the sauce to serve over the ham.

Second year in a row I have made this recipe. It is a big hit. I have used a much bigger ham, 11 pounds this year. I used many more cloves than the recipe called for. I spaced them about an inch and a half apart over the entire skin side of the ham. I also doubled the brown sugar and pineapple. Deeeeeeelish!
