Keeping a can of frozen orange juice concentrate in the freezer means you can make more than just orange juice. Try it in a variety of orange-flavored recipes.

Putting soda pop in BBQ sauce is starting to get popular for a reason. Root beer adds an especially tangy note to the slow cooked sauce along with orange, molasses, and ginger.
1 cup root beer (not diet)
1 cup ketchup
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup fresh orange juice
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tablespoon packed dark brown sugar
1 tablespoon unsulphured light molasses
1 teaspoon liquid smoke, optional
1/2 teaspoon grated orange peel
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Combine all the ingredients in the crock pot. Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 4-6 hours, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened and is reduced to 1 1/2 cups. Adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
Let the sauce cool. Use immediately, or transfer the sauce to a covered container and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
