1 small onion, minced 1 can (8 ounce size) tomato sauce 2 cups water 1/4 cup wine vinegar 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce 1 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons paprika 2 teaspoons chili powder 1 teaspoon black pepper 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
directions
Combine all the ingredients in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil then reduce the heat to a simmer. Let simmer for 20 minutes or until it reaches the desired consistency.
Use the barbecue sauce immediately or let cool then refrigerate in a covered container for up to 1 week.

This is good, but I think it really didn't need so much water. It took a lot longer to boil down to a thicker consistency. I also added a little Truvia to balance out the chili powder.
