Brown Sugar Squares Recipe

Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 cup flour PLUS"PLUS" means this ingredient in addition to the one on the next line, often with divided uses
1 tablespoon flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup nuts (optional)
Directions:
Grease and flour an 8" X 8" pan. Mix all ingredients in large bowl and turn into pan. Bake at 350F for 20 minutes or until done.
