The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

This refreshing and festive cocktail is made with orange juice, cranberry juice, and vodka. Served over ice (and we garnished it with a few cranberries for a little holiday accent).

ice
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup cranberry juice cocktail
1/4 cup vodka
Fill glasses halfway with ice.
Combine the orange juice, cranberry juice, and vodka in a glass or cocktail shaker. Stir well then pour over the ice in the glasses.
Serve the bog fog cocktail immediately.

I know they are just a garnish, but had some leftover frozen cranberries from Thanksgiving so I thought I would mix up a batch of this after shopping with some friends. Quite good, a real hit with them too.

This is a very refreshing drink! I could see it working as a nice brunch cocktail as well.
