While we don't want to call this cocktail a health drink, it sure is packed with good stuff! Blueberries are considered antioxidants and have lots of other nutritional value. You can also make your own blueberry juice by crushing 1/2 pound of fresh blueberries and straining the juice through a fine mesh sieve. This recipe works well with other fruit juices as well.
4 ounces blueberry juice
3 ounces light rum
1 lime, juice only
2 dashes grenadine
finely crushed ice
1 lime twist
Combine the blueberry juice, rum, lime juice, grenadine and ice in a cocktail shaker and shake to combine.
Strain the mixture into a martini glass and serve garnished with a lime twist, if desired.
