INGREDIENTS:
1 pound lean ground beef
1 cup chopped onion, divided
1/2 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 dash ground cayenne pepper, or to taste
1 teaspoon salt
1 can (4 ounce size) chopped mild green chile, drained
1 can (16 ounce size) undrained red kidney beans
1 cup shredded American cheese
tortilla chips
DIRECTIONS:
Cook ground beef with half of the chopped onion until meat is browned and onion is tender.
Stir in ketchup, chili powder, and salt. Add chopped chile and beans; mash mixture well.
Heat through; top with cheese and remaining chopped onion.
Keep beef and bean dip warm in chafing dish, fondue pot, or crockpot.
Serve beef and bean dip with chips.
