This iconic whiskey is a "Jack of all trades" when it comes to cooking. Toss it in some pasta, as a savory dipping sauce, and even bake it into something sweet.

A flavorful beer marinade does wonders for a tougher cut of meat like London broil.
2 1/4 pounds top round London broil, cut 1 1/2-inches thick
1 cup beer
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 clove garlic, minced
Trim any fat from London broil. Place London broil in a plastic bag that's set in a bowl, or place in a glass or plastic dish.
For the marinade, in a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Add marinade; close bag securely or cover dish with plastic wrap. Marinate in the refrigerator for eight to 24 hours, turning occasionally.
Prepare medium charcoal fire or preheat gas grill to medium. Remove from marinade. Discard marinade.
Grill, on a lightly greased rack, 20 to 25 minutes for medium doneness or as desired, turning meat over halfway through grilling time. Let stand 10 minutes before slicing into thin slices.

The beer marinade is perfect. I've used it on the london broil called for in the recipe and also on steaks, pork, and chicken. We love it!

I don't know how the other reviewer found this to lack flavor. It was outstanding! And tender! Maybe it was the beer she/he used. We loved it and will use this recipe/method again.

Not very flavorful. It did nothing to tenderize the meat.
