A unique combination of stout and ginger ale that makes for a refreshing drink. The technique of pouring the stout over the back of a spoon creates a layered effect.

1 cup ginger ale
1 cup stout beer
Place the ginger ale in a pilsner or other tall glass. Pour the stout slowly over the back of a spoon into the ginger ale to create a layer of beer.
Serve immediately.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

These were served in shot glasses at our taste testing. They were incredibly refreshing because of the ginger ale. The sweetness of the ginger ale balanced the strong stout flavor. Fun and tasty!
