Beer makes batters better, meat more tender, and sauces more flavorful.

10 ice cubes
1 cup pureed cantaloupe
4 ounces melon vodka
2 ounces lemon simple syrup* (depending on the sweetness of your fruit, you may want to adjust the syrup amount)
1/2 cup heavy cream
mint sprigs for garnish
In a blender combine ice cubes and all ingredients except mint. Process until ice cubes are gone.
Divide evenly among chilled martini glasses and garnish with mint.
I had just made my awesome Cantaloupe Bread and had a cup of the puree left. I couldn't waste it and came up with this drink. It is very fresh tasting and keeps the integrity of the fresh fruit.
*For Lemon Simple Syrup - Combine the juice of two lemons, 1 cup sugar and 1/4 cup water in a small sauce pan. Over medium heat, stir until sugar is dissolved. Cool and store in an airtight container in the fridge. Keep this handy for all your drink needs.

I used regular simple syrup. Very refreshing even with the heavy cream in it. Might try it with fat free half and half and more ice to lower the calories.
