2 ounces Jack Daniel's whiskey or bourbon
6 ounces sour mix
1 teaspoon fresh squeezed lime juice
1 slice lemon
1 maraschino cherry
directions
Fill a rocks glass with ice. Pour the whiskey and sour mix over the ice and stir gently to combine. Add the lime juice and give it one more stir.
Garnish the whiskey sour with a slice of lemon and a maraschino cherry.

I used the suggestion of turning this cocktail into a punch. Made two pitchers full and served over ice in cocktail glasses with the cherries and lemon wedges on cocktail picks. So good and easy!
