The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

1 ounce vodka
1 ounce amaretto almond liqueur
ice
pink lemonade
Combine the vodka, amaretto, and ice in a collins glass. Add pink lemonade to fill. Stir gently then serve immediately.

Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.
Not to be confused with evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk is very sweet (and very sticky) and used primarily in desserts.

The recipe doesn't really specify how much pink lemonade, so when we made these ours didn't turn out very "pink" in color. Very tasty with a predominant amaretto flavor.
