There may not be any of the namesake berries in this drink, but that doesn't stop it from being a killer bourbon cocktail. Lemon juice and sugar start the drink off towards a whiskey sour, but a good splash of sherry switches it up.

3/4 ounce bourbon
3/4 ounce sherry
1 ounce lemon juice
1 teaspoon sugar
ice
Combine the bourbon, sherry, lemon juice, sugar, and ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake well then strain into a serving glass. Serve immediately.

Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.
