This iconic whiskey is a "Jack of all trades" when it comes to cooking. Toss it in some pasta, as a savory dipping sauce, and even bake it into something sweet.

Cousin to the pina colada, the banana mama turns a touch of banana liqueur and several touches of rum into a creamy treat. You'll feel like you've got your toes in the sand in no time.

1 1/2 ounce light rum
1/2 ounce dark rum
1 ounce banana liqueur
1 ounce cream of coconut
2 ounces pineapple juice
3 ounces crushed ice
Combine all the ingredients in a blender. Process until smooth. Pour into a tall glass and serve immediately.
If the drink is too thick, add a little more pineapple juice to thin it.
For an extra frosty texture, freeze the pineapple juice in ice cube trays and use these instead of crushed ice.
Try different types of rum for different flavors.
Chill the glass in the freezer beforehand for frosty drink.
If you prefer a sweeter drink, add a teaspoon of simple syrup or honey.
For a stronger banana flavor, add an extra splash of banana liqueur.
Enjoy responsibly, as this delicious drink can be quite potent without realizing it because of the sweet flavor.
Fresh bananas can be used for a more natural flavor. Add a little extra sweetener if needed.
It's best served immediately after blending for the best texture and flavor but you can make it in advance and store it in the freezer. Thaw until slushy enough to put in the blender.
Blender: For combining all the ingredients and creating a smooth, creamy texture for the cocktail. If you don't have a blender, mixing vigorously with a whisk or spoon may work, but won't achieve the same consistency.
Tall Glass: To pour the blended Banana Mama cocktail into. A fun tropical-themed glass can enhance the beachy vibes while sipping on your drink.
Measuring Jigger or Shot Glass: For accurately measuring the amounts of rum, banana liqueur, cream of coconut, and pineapple juice. Eyeballing it might lead to unbalanced flavors or make the drink too strong.
Straw: A straw is handy for sipping the Banana Mama and getting that tropical vacation feel.
Sizzling BBQ Ribs: The tropical flavors of the Banana Mama will provide a refreshing contrast to the smoky, meaty goodness of BBQ ribs.
Crispy Coconut Shrimp: The creamy coconut in the Banana Mama will complement the sweet coconut flakes on the shrimp for a tropical flavor.
Island Jerk Chicken: The light and dark rum in the Banana Mama will enhance the flavors of jerk chicken for a taste of the Caribbean in every bite.

It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).
The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

This drink is a perfect drink when you want to drink a whole lot and not feel a hangover. Just replace the banana liquor with a real banana and you will feel great. I drank about 16 of these in about 4 days and woke up every day feeling great b
