Ranking #1 in nearly every "favorite cookie" poll, the chocolate chip cookie is pretty much the go-to cookie of choice for both kids and grownups alike.

This is the classic screwdriver all grown up, made with sloe gin paired with the typical vodka and a Galliano float on top.
ice
1 part vodka
1 part sloe gin
1 part Southern Comfort
orange juice, as needed
1 part Galliano
Fill a tall glass half full with ice. Add the vodka, sloe gin, and southern comfort. Add enough orange juice to almost fill the glass then stir gently.
Pour the Galliano over the back of a spoon into the glass so it floats on the top (this is the "wall"). Do not stir.
Serve immediately. .
Chill the glass beforehand for a more refreshing cocktail.
Adjust the amount of orange juice based on your preference.
For a stronger orange flavor, add a slice of orange as a garnish.
Use high-quality spirits for a smoother taste.
Gently stirring the base spirits and orange juice before adding the Galliano helps to blend the flavors without disrupting the layer.
If you prefer a sweeter drink, add a splash of simple syrup.
For a decorative touch, garnish with a cherry.
Be cautious with the amount of alcohol; this drink can be stronger than it tastes.
Yes, you can omit the Galliano for a simpler version, but it won't have the same layered effect or herbal flavor.
Sloe gin can be substituted with blackberry liqueur or a berry-flavored syrup for a non-alcoholic version.
Pour it slowly over the back of a spoon just above the drink's surface to gently layer it.
It's best made individually to preserve the layered effect, but you can pre-mix the vodka, sloe gin, Southern Comfort, and orange juice in a pitcher if you aren't worried about presentation.

Used to drink these in my "younger" days. Brings back memories (well, those I can remember). Good recipe and just the same proportions I used to mix them.

I haven't had one of these since the mid '80s and thought they had disappeared from the face of the earth! Nope! Here it is today and that's just how it was made. It's a whole lot smoother than you might think But go just slightly easy on them and they are a tasty treat! I don't know where I'd find one today in any establishment so now I'll go about making my own! (Oh, out of everybody I knew they would only point to the sign on the bar but they knew me well enough to know that I'd holler the whole name out to the bartender loud enough to be heard over the blaring music.) ;) Hey, this is one cool drink and now I'm going to make one (or two or three)because that's exactly how they were made and I had forgotten what went into it until I saw it here.
