Sweet Baked Yams

ingredients
3 large yams, peeled and cubed
2 tablespoons molasses
4 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/2 cup pecans, in pieces
2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
salt and pepper, to taste
directions
Boil the yams in water until soft. Drain well and mash with potato masher in medium-size glass or Pyrex casserole dish.
Mix the yams with molasses, butter or margarine, pumpkin pie spices, and salt/pepper to taste. Top evenly with pecan pieces.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 20-30 minutes or until lightly browned.

Liked these much better than the kind with marshmallows or orange on them. I wish I had made more because there really wasn't enough for 6 people for Thanksgiving.
