1 medium tomato, seeded and diced
6 slices bacon, crisply cooked, chopped
1/2 cup finely chopped celery
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
1 teaspoon sugar
lettuce leaves

directions

Place cream cheese in a bowl. Gradually stir in dressing; mix well.

Remove seeds from tomato, then dice tomato. Reserve 1 tablespoon for garnish.

Using food chopper, chop bacon, celery and onion. Add tomato, bacon, celery, onion and sugar to cream cheese mixture. Mix well.

Cover and refrigerate at least 3 hours to allow flavors to blend.

To serve, line chilled bowl with lettuce leaves. Fill with dip. Garnish with reserved tomato. Serve with your favorite crackers or toasted bread as dippers.

  1. Holly REVIEW:

I have made this same recipe, but used tortillas instead of lettuce and spread it on tortillas, rolled them up and chilled them. Then I cut them so they look like little pinwheels. I put the remaining dip into a bowl surrounded by wheat thins and my guests can't get enough of this stuff. Yum! Yum!
