Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

Whip up these easy oven-baked pork chops. A sweet and tangy BBQ sauce kicks things up a notch.
6 loin or rib pork chops (3/4-inch thick)
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons vinegar
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
3/4 cup ketchup
1/3 cup hot water
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Brown the pork chops on both sides in a heavy cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the pan from the heat.
In a bowl, stir together the Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, black pepper, chili powder, paprika, ketchup, and hot water. Mix until blended. Evenly pour the mixture over the pork chops in the skillet.
Place the skillet in the oven and bake, uncovered, at 375 degrees F for 1 hour or until the oven-barbecued pork chops are cooked through.
For a spicier kick, you can add more chili powder or some crushed red pepper flakes to the sauce.
If you prefer a sweeter sauce, you can increase the amount of brown sugar.
You can use thicker or thinner chops, you'll just need to adjust the cooking time. We tested this recipe using 3/4-inch thick chops.
Yes, apple cider vinegar can be a good substitute and may add a slightly different flavor to the dish.
You can use honey as a substitute for best results or molasses, but the flavor may change slightly.
A cast-iron skillet is recommended for even heat distribution, but you can use any oven-safe skillet.
Yes, you can marinate the pork chops for up to 4 hours for deeper flavor, but it's not necessary for this recipe.
The pork chops should reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees F and the meat should no longer be pink in the center.
This recipe is designed for oven cooking, but you could adapt it for the stovetop by simmering the pork chops in the sauce over low heat until cooked through.
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Yes, you can freeze them in an airtight container for up to 2 months. Thaw in the refrigerator before reheating.

This Italian cheese is so versatile that it can be used in both sweet and savory recipes from cheesecakes to lasagnas.
It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).

Has any used this recipe for ribs?
Ribs will take a lot longer to cook but the sauce mixture would be good on them. We have similar recipes developed specifically for ribs on the website.
