Apple Syrup

Apple cider is thickened into a rich syrup that is perfect over pancakes, waffles, ice cream, or whatever your sweet tooth desires.

ingredients

1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
2 cups apple cider or apple juice
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 cup butter

directions

Combine the sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, apple cider, and lemon juice in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently.

Remove the pan from the heat. Add the butter and stir until the butter is melted.

Use immediately over pancakes, waffles, cake, ice cream, etc.

Store the syrup in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Reheat gently before using.
