pasta dough from scratch
Fresh pasta is much better than the commercially made dry versions but it's harder to find in grocery stores. Making your own dough from scratch is an easy task especially with the popularity of pasta machines (but you definitely don't need one for most recipes). You can make everything from sheets for lasagna or ravioli to thin strands to gnocchi and more.
