ingredients

1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 clove garlic, crushed
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
1/4 cup salad oil
1/4 cup distilled white vinegar

directions

In a small bowl, combine all ingredients, mixing until sugar has dissolved. Transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate 2 hours or up to 2 weeks.

Mix well before serving. This dressing is great on sliced tomatoes topped with fresh tarragon, or any fresh herb of your choice.
