Cheddar Burger Mashed Potato Bake

ingredients
2 pounds lean ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 jar (17 ounce size) cheddar cheese pasta sauce
2 teaspoons dry mustard
4 cups prepared mashed potatoes
directions
Preheat oven to 425 F.
In 12-inch skillet, brown ground beef over medium-high heat; drain. Add onion and cook, stirring occasionally, 2 minutes. Stir in cheese sauce, mustard and, if desired, salt and ground black pepper to taste. Simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally, until heated through.
Turn into 2-quart casserole; evenly top with mashed potatoes.
Bake 25 minutes or until potatoes are lightly golden.

I'm a college student (aka broke dude) and this is one of my regular dishes. It's cheap, filling, and tastes pretty good. I use cheese soup instead of a pasta sauce (cheaper).
