1 pound beets
2 tablespoons water
directions
Pierce skin of whole beets. Put in microwave dish. Add water. Cover. Cook on High for 9 to 12 minutes giving the dish a half turn halfway through cooking. Let stand for 5 minutes.
After cooking, cool and remove skin under running water.
Check for doneness at the end of the minimum time given. Times are approximate because vegetables vary in shape, size, and age.
