ingredients
1 can (16 ounce size) sliced beets, RESERVING
3/4 cup beet liquid
3 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1/4 cup raisins
2 tablespoons butter
directions
In a saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, ginger, and salt. Blend in reserved beet liquid from beets and lemon juice. Add raisins.
Cook over medium low heat, stirring, until thickened and bubbly.
